Warm Up- Describe the purpose of rhetorical analysis using as much detail as you recall. Be prepared to share.
2. Rhetorical Analysis Peer Review and Fishbowl Discussion
Partners review and annotate Hal and Bee's rhetorical analysis essays:
At least 2 comments per paragraph
Score each paragraph on rubric with justification
Fishbowl

12 students will be randomly chosen for fishbowl inner circle to discuss essays.
All students in outside circle will take notes on fishbowl discussion.
3. Reflection:
Fishbowl reflection: Describe what you understand about rhetorical analysis after today's discussion
4. Rhetorical Precis Quiz:
Number your paper from 1-4.
Describe all of the parts of a rhetorical precis; what is in the first sentence, second, third, and fourth?
